Can you provide a brief overview of your lab’s current research focus?

My lab focuses on signal transduction in plant immunity.

What is the significance of the findings in this publication?

Salicylic acid is a very important plant hormone required for defense against pathogens. Our findings represent a major breakthrough in our understanding of SA perception and signaling.  

What are the next steps for this research?

The next step is to figure out how SA regulates the transcriptional repression activity of the SA receptors NPR3 and NPR4.
