Heart on your sleeve – an anatomy and felting workshop

June 16, 2018 - 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm

$20

Our heart is an incredible organ that has been studied extensively, and been an inspiration for much art and literature. Learn about our hearts, and create your own felted heart patch that you can wear on your sleeve with Anatomy Professor Claudia Krebs and Textile Artist Emily Smith at this workshop.

This workshop is for children and adults who would like to try felting while learning something interesting about our hearts.

This event is part of Interstitial: Science Innovations by Canadian Women, an art exhibition with events showcasing 2D work by female artists featuring women in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics. What does it take for a woman to be “in” with the science community? On exhibit at the Beaumont Studios Gallery June 8-21.
