Rainbow Trout are Way Cool because…

Did you know that rainbow trout are from right here in British Columbia? Today, people around the world are able to fish for rainbow trout due to their successful stocking programs.

Come to Way Cool on September 1st to find out what allows these beautiful fish to be stocked all around the globe.

University of British Columbia Masters student Nic Strowbridge will take you on a journey around the world focusing on the history and importance of the rainbow trout recreational fishery.

Along the way, you’ll learn about some of the current research being done to understand how we can preserve rainbow trout fisheries well into the future!
